7/17/2006 starting at Monterey Bay. We are Touring ending at Monterey Bay on 7/23/2006. Overnight anchorage or marina is Monterey Bay Municipal Marina. Rest and relax in Monterey Bay. Visit the acquarium. The Moto GP races are on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, making the town into an awesome motocycle show. We will probably watch the races from the Blue Note bar.

Cuyler Harbor is one of the most hauntingly beautiful harbors along the 1000 mile coast covered in this book. Cuyler is as close to a true harbor as any found in the Channel Islands.

Three Step Emergency Guide

If you have a genuine concern for the safety or welfare of any persons on board this vessel, who have not returned or checked-in in a reasonable amount of time then continue with Step 1. Otherwise STOP, no further action is required.

Step 1.

Call the telephone number for contact number 1 above. If a person answers the phone take notes during your conversation and

      a) Let the person know you are responding to a late return or check-in by the individuals designated on the float plan.

      b) Determine if the person ou are talking to or anyone else at that location has recently had contact with anyone on the vessel, and when and where that contact occurred.

      c) Are you still concerned about the safety or welfare of any persons on board the vessel? If so, continue with Step 2, otherwise STOP. No further action is required.

Step 2.

Call the telephone number for contact number 2. If a person answers the phone take notes during your conversation and

      a) Let the person know you are responding to a late return or check-in by the individuals designated on the float plan.

      b) Determine if the person ou are talking to or anyone else at that location has recently had contact with anyone on the vessel, and when and where that contact occurred.

      c) Are you still concerned about the safety or welfare of any persons on board the vessel? If so, continue with Step 3, otherwise STOP. No further action is required.

Step 3.

      a) Contact your local law enforcement agency (Police or Sheriff).

      b) Let the dispatcher know that you are responding to a late return or check-in by the persons on board the vessel.

      c) The dispatcher will instruct you from here.

      d) Be patient. You’ve done everything you can possibly do for now. It is important to stay off the telephone, so emergency personnel can contact you with additional information and / or questions concerning the search and rescue effort.
