Day Plan

Enter a plan for each day, or group of days on your trip.  A good way to do this is by using your cruising guides to determine where you want to stop, and for how long.  Use your chart plotter to determine the distance of each passage and about how long they should take.  Indicate whether you will use a stop to take on additional water or fuel.  This information is used by BoatExec Planner to understand your fuel and water tank levels.  The analysis program assumes that you will completely fill your fuel and water tanks at the end of the passage to each destination.

You enter trip day information based upon the relative day of the trip.  The departure date is set on the Description tab.  This way, you can alter the departure date, and the integrity of the rest of the trip remains intact.  Trip days are always relative to the start date.  As you enter trip days, the lunar image will change to show you the moon phase on the first day of that segment.   This is a handy reminder regarding the strength of tides and currents, and how much moonlight will be available for overnight passages.
